The Bull hotel has recently been taken over and refurbished by Mike and Emily. They were really welcoming and we had a lovely double bedroom, simply furnished but capturing the lovely old building. A simple continental breakfast is provided, but we decided to sample a mini cooked breakfast. It was delicious with sausages and bacon from Mike's farm shop. The couple are introducing a Sunday carvery which sadly we couldn't stay for. This is a hotel and pub worth a visit. Parking: Electric charging for cars available in the car park.
Friendly people! One room was very noisy all night, the other was very hot. There was no fan in the hotel to put in this room. Hygiene was reasonable, there was dust in the corners. Beds more than good! Highly recommended for other hotels. Breakfast was nothing, dried fruit with fruit flies, we think a pot of tea and coffee. Milk and packets of cereal. At the weekend you could get a hot breakfast (e.g. Egg), which cost extra We ate elsewhere.......
Me and my husband wanted to go out for lunch and we got to the bull. We went in and there was hardly anyone in there. My husband asked if they have got a lunch time menu. Only to find out they don't do lunch. What a waste of a pub. Its in a good location and I think they would benefit with a lunchtime menu. It looked clean and tidy. They could bring in more money if they were to serve food. I can't say anything more as it was walk in and walk out.
