Paleterias Tropicana

This place is an absolute gem! I have been here twice in the past week and both times did not disappoint! They have such a great array of ice cream, popsicles and snacks. The elote and mangonada were delicious. Can't wait to try the rest of their menu!

Absolutely delicious ice cream! They offer a fantastic variety of flavors, including both ice cream and sorbet. The scoops are quite generous. I noticed their smoothie selection also looked appealing, so I plan to try one during my next visit. Although the shop is small, they manage to keep things running smoothly. There are seating options available both indoors and outdoors. The service here is friendly and attentive.

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. The gourmet popsicles alone are enough to warrant a visit, but when you factor in the incredible homemade ice creams inspired by Michoacán, as well as their unique fruit and vegetable blends, it turns into an unforgettable flavor experience right here in Kansas City, or even Missouri. We've been coming to this place for over ten years, and we've never been disappointed. While parking can be a bit tricky and it can get quite crowded (which is a sign of its quality!), Tropicana is definitely worth the effort. You should definitely give it a try!

Best ice cream. So smooth and creamy and full of flavor. Oh wow the strawberry cheese was divine, the coconut flavor was deep, the horchata tasted exactly like the drink, and the gansito tasted like pound cake! The service was very friendly and we received HUGE scoops, which were quickly devoured by two adults and one toddler.

YUM! Their banana splits are my current favorite, they’re popsicles are fresh and wrapped up if you want to take them home and the ice cream is great too. It’s not unusual for the line to be out the door because it’s a tiny space but don’t let that stop you, the line moves quick and it’s worth it.
