My favorite dish is the Kung Pao Chicken. The portion size seemed sufficient from the photo, with plenty of chicken leg meat. However, I was disappointed to find that the only vegetables included were carrots and celery, with no onions. There were many peanuts, but no Thai paprika or water chestnuts, and they used red pepper flakes instead. As I ate, I noticed a strange taste and oily smell, but I was hungry so I ate most of it. Unfortunately, I regretted it later as the oily taste lingered. Overall, the dish did not taste good and I have had much better elsewhere. The restaurant did not have much atmosphere or options for me to enjoy while dining. I regret eating here and will not be returning. If I could, I would give this place a MINUS 2 STARS.
Visited during lunch around noon on a Monday. Very affordable lunch specials with generous portions. I ordered the chicken and shrimp in brown sauce lunch special with a small side of wonton soup. I unfortunately found the chicken and shrimp meal to be sub-par but I really liked the wonton soup. Empire Wok is a good option if you want a cheap meal with generous portions.
Not bad. The rice didn't have a lot of flavor and had a thick consistency. The ham in it was good though. What my partner and I got were lemon chicken, chicken lo men, donuts, and cream cheese won tons. The donuts and cream cheese were pretty great! The sauce for the wontons was watered down, but it was actually still nice because normally the sauce can be over powering. As for our main meals, as I mentioned before with the rice, we weren't impressed. The lemon chicken wasn't bad, but I have yet to find somewhere with good lemon chicken. I should just start ordering orange chicken. The chicken lo men had good flavor but a pasta like texture for the noodle which was weird. Overall, it was a lot of food for the price. I do wish that the rice was better though.
Basically a knock off of Panda Express but at least Panda Express gives you warm rice and more than one entree option for the same price. Bland rice. I got sesame chicken and my friend got orange chicken; the sauces and flavors were exactly the same, they just threw sesame seeds onto my chicken.
