Athens Greek Restaurant - Drumheller

My favorite restaurant in Drumheller for a number of years and this latest visit didn't disappoint. I'd tried many of the classic Greek dishes on previous trips and wanted something simple this time, so went with the lamb donair, which was great. The accompanying French fries were among the best I've had this place does wonderful things with potatoes). The baklava *is* the best I've ever had. Looking forward to my next trip.

The whole family, 12 of us, went to Drumheller to visit the Dino Museum. We stayed over night and reserved a table for all of us at Athens. It was a great experience. Grandchildren Children had fun and our grown up children had fun. Highly recommend this restaurant. Great food. Great service. Great price. Thank you

Food here is absolutely amazing.If you haven 't tried it make it one of your places to stop.To quote my wife the best to tzatziki ever made

Down in the bad lands was the absolute last place I was expecting to find traditional Greek food, but low and behold here they are. I ordered food here with my friend who was born in Athens, Greece, and he claimed (excluding his mother's cooking) that it's the best Greek food he has had since his family left Greece. So come grab a traditional Greek coffee and discover their wonderful homemade Greek classics.

We went here on our trip to Drumheller. We chose it because it had a fairly high google rating. We were quite disappointed with the food. With the prices and portion sizes we expected the food would be good quality. We ordered the steak and seafood platter to share. Our 8oz 'AAA ' steak was tough and had a large strip of fatty gristle down the side. It was very dry. The seafood was also very dry and overcooked. We paid an extra $4 to sub out the rice, potatoes and garlic bread for extra salad, and the portion that came was surprisingly tiny. The greek salad was standard and the mama 's salad was probably the only thing we had that I would consider better quality. I would rate the food itself 2 stars. I 'm giving an extra star because the staff were lovely and the service was good.
