Restaurant La Verriere - Drummondville

We had no Canadian dollar, but they were friendly enough to host us and accept our US dollars! had a wonderful latte and found wifi to make our hotel reservations and had a chocolate croissant, except they called it a chocolat au pain or something! nevertheless, very charming staff, very friendly service and a wonderful jewel of caffes in this small obscure!

I stumbled upon this restaurant while using the CAA tour book on my way to Toronto. Many thanks to CAA for the recommendation - this is definitely a 3-star restaurant. We arrived shortly before noon and were promptly seated. The server kindly assisted us with the French-only menu and was pleasant and attentive despite the language barrier. The lunch, which included a creamy sweet soup, basked onion, and crème brûlée, was delicious and beautifully presented. We were in and out within an hour, and the space was very clean. I will definitely return to La Verriere if I find myself in the Drummondville area again.

Delicious Sunday brunch with a variety of high-quality food. You can get freshly made crepes and waffles right in front of you. Fresh fruits in good quantity and an interesting selection of dishes for those who prefer lunch. The only downside is that it costs $25 with taxes, which is rather expensive.

The food is good but not amazing. For hotel food, it is acceptable. The meat was too dry despite me ordering it medium-rare. The atmosphere at the bar is really depressing since there are only old gamblers at the slot machines.

Personnel peu accueillant. On nous a proposé une banquette en demi-lune cependant, nous y étions inconfortables en raison de la table trop haute par rapport aux sièges. Nous avons dû insister pour changer de place. Nous avons alors choisi une table dans la section près des fenêtres mais cette fois on nous a dit que c'était préférable de nous asseoir dans la section d'à côté pour éviter des pas aux serveurs... Résultat, à peine assis à la table qu'on nous imposait, nous avons décidé de quitter. De plus, c'était un buffet très ordinaire et avec très peu de choix. Nous ne comptons pas retourner à cet endroit.
