Ibn AlBahr is the perfect mini gateway that is just a short drive away from the city a place where you come to meet your friends family while enjoying non pretentious good quality fresh seafood. The welcoming and warm atmosphere allows you to immediately disconnect from everything else, which makes Ibn Al Bahr the perfect spot for a relaxed and laid back meal.
Très très bon resto de ? vous choisissez vos poissons et la calamars fri,les moules etc. tout est très bon
Having heard great reviews of Ibn AlBahr, I was very excited to visit on a Friday afternoon. The restaurant was fully packed, with an excellent view over the beach that paired very well with the seafood heavy menu. Perhaps as a result of our late arrival, there wasn't an abundance of options to choose from for our main dishes. Despite this, we settled on a multitude of ladyfish, koffer and a hammour, the former fried and the latter grilled. I also asked for tiger prawns grilled in the restaurant's signature sauce. To accompany the seafood, we ordered a variety of mezze which arrived first at the table. The necessary hummus and muhammara were both good, with the muhammara an especial standout. Fried cheese rolls were standard, but I was especially a fan of the fries, cut in a similar style to Alo Beirut's, who coincidentally shares the same head chef. In terms of the fish, I really enjoyed the fried ones. The batter was light and crisp, and the ladyfish and koffer flaky in texture. Additionally, I found the price of 65 dhs for the 12 ladyfish a bargain. I was much less a fan of the hammour, which I did not enjoy in texture nor in taste, however I attribute this to the variety of fish, rather than Ibn AlBahr's cooking. The prawns were also good, but less of a standout compared to the excellent fish and mezze. A dessert order consisted of the baklava and vanilla ice cream, and a bouza with cotton floss. Of the two the bouza was the superior option, with a delicious ice cream and perfectly textured accompanying floss. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Ibn AlBahr. However, on a subsequent visit, I would stray from the more expensive side of the menu, such as the hammour and prawns, and instead, have an outstanding reasonably priced meal full of delicious fried fish and accompanying mezze.
Cozy beach restaurant for lunch and dinner. Definitely one of the best places on the beach! The service staff is super friendly and the food is excellent! Choice of drinks is good and comparably affordable.
