Milestone Hotel Dubbo

I loved this hotel. The building is beautiful and positioned in the center of Dubbo shopping district.It was warm and cosy on a freezing winter night and the service was lovely.The menu has a bit of everything and the wine list is great.We will return.

We enjoyed popping into the Milestone. Late time catering offered and you get a decent size pub meal. Not a large selection of beers are offered however. Typical pub layout. Clean and tidy. Friendly service in the restaurant area.

I give the building 5 stars and we ate downstairs in a fantastic room. Service was actually pretty ordinary and food pretty average pub food. But all saved by a great building.

Lunch was lovely food was good, service a little slow but overall very good. The downstairs rooms looked awesome!

The meals and pub was recommended so we made a reservation to ensure we would get good seating.PROS: - Location in the heart of town and a brief walk from accommodation. - The dining and sitting area available down stairs is nostalgic and quaint. Beautiful individual sandstone brick dining rooms plus a wine cellar to browse, large seated area to enjoy with friends. - Meals were delicious and priced to match the market.CONS: * Poor Service. Because you are located down stairs away from the kitchen and bar, the staff clearly forgot about us. Entrees arrived but before they were finished the mains were served! No table service with drinks. I had to keep leaving the table and go back up a set of stairs to purchase drinks and return with them on a tray.* Ambiance. Speakers amplifying the radio rock music being played upstairs in the main bar area was too loud and didn't meet the ambiance of the experience.* Poor Food Choice.Finally dessert wasn't available, you had to choose from the display cabinet upstairs in the bistro. Day old slices of Gateau and cakes. Maybe the expectations were set too high considering the rave review it had gotten from a friend. Will try the Milestone again and hopefully get a similar experience to my friends review.
