Had the full Irish... was pleasantly surprised that it wasn 't a 'greasy spoon ' style breakfast. Very tasty, generous portions and good value. A pity the tea coffee wasn 't included in the price.
This was a group booking and we were shown to a large table upstairs the menu was extensive and the food presentation was good and the food well cooked and delicious- the service was speedy given the food had to be carried upstairs- very good for a small restaurant in Rathgar
Seated at a tiny table upstairs only suitable for one(there were 2of us) Ordered 2 different starters but apart from one ingredient, both were the same(overloaded with cashew nuts etc) Had Fish and chips x2 and the batter was solid.. and greasy…I’ve tasted better at local takeaway. Can’t blame serving staff but kitchen staff need to be educated. I did mention the inedible batter when paying but I felt we were being just rushed out to make way for next … victim. This place used to be good…. So let down to see how standards have dropped. Won’t be back
We arrived on time and were left waiting for a long time to order. Then the male waiter was very impatient when we were ordering. Then finally we were rushed out leaving wine and coffees behind. Very disappointing. We spoke with manager and he really wasn’t interested. Couldn’t recommend Bijou.
