Clement Pekoe - Dublin

This is a great place to go if you are really into your coffee. Staff are really nice too. They have some nice seating areas inside and a few seats outside too. I get both espresso based coffees and filter coffees here and both are done really well. I like that they frequently change up their coffee beans so there's always something new to try. Also a great place to buy fresh beans to make delicious coffee at home.

Very good coffee, very good. Pastries not to shabby neither! Liked the decor in the back, modern, understated, lots of tea/coffee to buy.

Whilst their coffee is great and the cafe gives a relaxed/chilled vibe, I had quite a negative experience here today. I bought my coffee and kombucha, had sat down and was obviously quite settled, only to be told that I was not allowed use my laptop, which was the sole reason why I had made the trip to this cafe in the first place. There were no signs to indicate this policy and I find it very frustrating and unprofessional that this policy was only disclosed to me once I had made a purchase. Moreover, I noticed there were other people on their laptop, so this felt like quite a personal attack on me. Unacceptable and unprofessional in my opinion.

I must admit, I’m too much an old fart to be hangin’ out in here! But I was looking for a reprieve from commercial chain gang Starbucks. Especially on a cold January Sunday late afternoon. That said, the staff’s very helpful and friendly enough. Hot Americano’s very good too. You’ll enjoy the brew’s including teas most likely! I’d come back when it’s less crowded and not so loud.
