John Kavanagh The Gravediggers - Dublin

The Gravediggers is a tapas-style restaurant. The food was excellent and perfectly portioned, allowing us to try multiple dishes. I really enjoyed it!

This is definitely my favorite pub in Dublin! It's located right next to a stunning 1800s graveyard—definitely worth a visit! As you walk in, it's like stepping back in time, with ancient wooden doors and cozy nooks featuring a wood-burning fireplace. Don't expect a large bar; it's quite small and has no stools at all! There are plenty of weathered tables around the bar that have clearly been in use for many years. You'll find many locals with their dogs, ready to chat about the area's history. I ended up talking with the town barber for three hours over several pints. The service was excellent—very prompt—and I can confidently say this was the BEST pint of Guinness I've ever had (and I've had quite a few!). When you tip, they ring a bell, so ask for Becky; you won't be disappointed. This place is a must-see! Talk to you later. P.S. Don't forget to try the peanuts!

On many ventures to Dublin, this is the first visit I made to here in May 2022 and this definitely one of my top 5 bars in Dublin...It's located a little bit out of the city limits but worth the visit...sitting in the pub you would think you stepped back in time a 120 years ago....What a blast I had...It's a mixture of locals and tourists but mostly locals which gave us a warm welcome....Don't miss out on this one....you will be sorry !!!

We visited this restaurant during our last nights in Dublin, and we’re so glad we did! It’s a fantastic spot to enjoy a pint and some incredible food. The service was excellent and very friendly. It’s not a big place, which added to its charm. If you get the chance, definitely stop by for a pint and try the coddle or the seafood chowder!

Great Guinness and great food. The staff are friendly and attentive. Unique location right beside Glasnevin Cemetery.
