L'ecrivain - Dublin

A group of 6 of us went for dinner and had the tasting menu. The staff were very friendly and were the utmost professionals someone in the group had a dairy intolerance and every course, the staff knew this and explained the slight variation to the meal on this basis. They were incredibly accommodating of this. The food was cooked to perfection each course was done perfectly and tasted amazing. The portion sizes were very small, as expected for a fine dining experience. The price of the menu also matched this fine dining experience but only served to make the portion sizes stand out more as particularly small for the price being paid. Having said that, the restaurant is definitely worth a visit at least once to experience the incredible cooking and very well run establishment. I would definitely recommend for a special occasion.

Awesome anniversary dinner! Surprised how kid friendly they were. My 5 year old loved it. Food was yummy. The menu is limited but enough for us to try different things. This restaurant lives up to its Michelin star!

What can I say? Probably one of the best dining experiences we’ve had! From the minute we arrived we knew we were in for treat. The staff are superb, warm and friendly. The atmosphere was very relaxed and bubbly. The food was outstanding. The interaction of the flavours of each dish had me almost licking my plate! Nice touch from the pastry chef for our anniversary and thanks to Derry for looking after us too. It was our third time there and we can’t wait to go back again, we skipped out the door smiling! BTW we had the 9 course tasting menu with matching wines Max the sommelier was wonderful
