Maharajah Fine Indian Cuisine - Dublin

Just ordered take away from Maharajah Clontarf for the first time...arrived before time was at least warm.. there it ends. Also gobi was unlike anything I have previously encountered from an "Indian restaurant...chicken Tikka Masala was gelatinous unedible..so for €25 I had rice with Masala sauce...these reviews are accurate,so please don 't waste your money!!

Food came an hour late. We were told half an hour before it came — so already 30 mins late — that our order was being packed. Took another half hour for it to come. No apology from JustEat, no apology from restaurant. People will stop ordering, scoop yourselves on ... it’s not good enough!

So. I’ve ordered from this Indian for many years. Their delivery service is.. let’s say always late… I guess I’m today’s world we don’t expect that. So there isn’t really any forgiveness for this… So I decided a long time ago to collect always…. And allow an extra few minutes… This is restaurant quality food in a takeaway… we are so used to being the customer and served instantly that we forget about the amazing quality food that some places offer.. this is simply one of the best Indian food in the country….. I would queue here for an hour… The food is just out of this world and I’ve eaten all over the world…. It’s worth the wait… I’m not justifying the rice being extra, i’ve made that mistake myself.. or the late delivery… But really it’s worth it..

Waited 2 and a half hours for delivery. No apology, no explanation. Food was only tolerable. Enough said.

Having ordered online (not a third party website) for a delivery after two hours still now sign, not great for a Monday evening. Phone lines (both numbers) rung out. Decided to drive to the takeaway shop and was told they were really busy.... two hours waiting on a Monday evening. Girl behind the counter turns her back on us and twenty minutes later we are on our way. when we get home we discover that the meals are literally just thrown to together, not their usual great food. Unfortunately its the last time for us, which is a pity because it was once a great take away .
