We stopped here for lunch and ordered the soup of the day which was vegetable soup. It was a little thick but good. We also had the tuna sandwich and the spicy chicken sandwich.
The staff seemed uninterested and provided slow service. The prices were very high, and they charged extra for toasting rolls or sandwiches. Coffee was made ahead of time before the food arrived. A plain roll with two fillings cost 9.50 euros, with extra fillings costing 1.50 euros. A small coffee was 3.95 euros, and a small cream cake was 4.50 euros, as shown on the receipt. The prices were not justified considering the portion sizes. The tables were too close together, and there was a lack of floor staff.
Just got asked to leave by the owner in Bandon. I bought a coffee and sat down to complete an assignment, after an hour he informed me I cannot stay that long with one coffee as my laptop was plugged in and using his electricity. He said he owns all the O'Briens in Cork (which is a lie as he only owns some). There was another family there and the rest of the tables were vacant so I wasn't preventing him a customer. He told me to leave in front of a customer he was serving, quite embarrassing and I can't believe he is in business. I will be going further.
I recently dined at O’Briens in Blackpool Shopping Centre, although it does not appear to be listed here. Unfortunately, I would not choose to return. The seating was in poor condition and the floors appeared to have not been cleaned in quite some time. Additionally, there were no spoons available for tea and coffee.
