O'neills - Dublin

Called in for a drink before heading home. Nice place friendly staff. Served in no time. Price ok.

My son and I were visiting Dublin, and seeing relatives that we had not seen in a very long time, and one that we had never met. We went to O’Neills and the meeting was phenomenal. The character and atmosphere of the building itself spoke volumes about the city and it’s amazing people. We sat in a room adorned with beautiful windows and thick, luxurious drapes. The wood reminded me of a Barrister’s library, and it was gleaming and shining with the secrets of the many patrons who had tipped a glass or pint of Guinness there. The walls were adorned with the likeness of writers and artists and men are famous in Ireland for their crafts. You could spend many hours just looking at all of the memorabilia, but we did not have that time unfortunately. Many of us had the lentil soup, which was so good that we immediately wanted another bowl. The two men in the party had the stew and loved it as well. I had my 1st pint of Guinness and it was amazing. The food was spot on, the drink was grand and the company was perfect. Thank you O’Neals for an amazing afternoon. Went to get food but carvery closed has been for more that 6 months for kitchen renovation. Staff were great and make recommendations of where I might find one. They do serve food but the menu was not for me.

Just dropped in for a couple of pints.Atmosphere was nice and relaxed and the service was very good.

Had the best irish food here. Price quality wise it gets the 5 starts. Cottage pie and Guinness Stew was amazing.
