First and last visit I'm afraid.. We just left there and not one asked how was it !. Did we enjoy ! Was your food OK!. Service to start was OK we were attended to quickly but from then on we were forgotten. Our food arrived and while my Seabass tasted very fresh , It was very dry and the tiniest fillet I was ever served. At 26m95 I expected better. My partner was served his curry but had to ask for his Naan bread which he then waited almost 10 minutes for. We ordered a second drink but the server started to chat with some friends and we were forgotten. I ordered myself from the Bar. The server never returned. I think she may have been the owner. Our table was cleared without dialogue . Not even to offer us a dessert menu. We thought maybe the kitchen closed at 6 but have since found it did not. Very very disappointing.
Breakfast was really good, I had Irish breakfast and my partner had vegan breakfast. Service was good, staff friendly and helpful. Excellent view in outside seating area made it more enjoyable and relaxing.
Visited here with my dad. Having never been but sister raves about their chicken wings. Looking for a sandwich for lunch ordered the club sandwich. The dryest, tasteless club sandwich I've ever had. Chicken was hard, barely warm itself not seasoned. Real let down. Bacon wasnt great either. Lettuce tasted dirty. All together even with the mayo was just a poor tasting sandwich. Even the bread. I don't know what they did to fry/toast it but just seemed so odd. This was simply not nice. Chips on side were horrendous. Cheap kinda frozen fries you'd get in a pub in the 90s. Dad got chowder. Was also very poor. Loves his chowder and we're in howth you'd imagine it's good. Was like 8 lumps of fish in warm milk. Never have I seen such a watery liquid in a chowder and such poor tasting fish. €38 for 2 x bottles of cider and totally **** food.
Steak sandwich was over cooked and dry, scampi was awful, opened the batter and was a tiny bit of fish. Not Even half a prawn. Very strong fish taste from them. Food was warm that’s the only good thing I can say about it, food has gone downhill big time, definitely won’t be back
