It was really quiet when we arrived around 2PM on a Saturday, just a dozen or so customers. We were told it was due to the rugby game the previous night. The interior is lovely and old, but it 's so dark. There were a few men sitting on their own having a quiet drink, obviously this atmosphere suited them. Our server was lovely and very patient with an 'elderly ' member of our group. We ordered the chicken wings for joint starters and they were delicious. For the main meal, I had a beef burger and chips but wasn 't overly impressed with either. My wife had the chicken burger and she wasn 't particularly enamoured with her choice either.
