I really enjoyed the remodelled Gables. Very comfortable. Warm welcome, good ambiance and good service. The food was excellent. Four of us had a lovely evening and everyone was delighted with their meals. Reasonable prices too. We sat indoors but there's a heated conservatory type area too. Major improvement over the old Gables in every way..

Delicious family dinner, great atmosphere, attentive service and exceptional food! We really appreciated the children’s menu.

We went to the Gables for a coffee and catch up. We are both from the surrounding area. The waiter was astoundingly rude and obnoxious and virtually ordered us back to the door to wait until he was ready. He was supported by the girl at the cash desk. We were deeply shocked at such poor customer service. We left and went to the nearby Kerb where we were dealt with by friendly helpful staff. I have lived all my life in this area and have previously frequented the restaurant when it was under different ownership and enjoyed the experience. I would advise anyone not to frequent this establishment until they teach proper customer service to their staff. A deeply shocking experience. Nothing in our behaviour warranted this.
