I Monelli Authentic Italian Restaurant

As Italian I can say that I monelli is really an authentic Italian restaurant. Great service and great food!

That was our first visit to I. Monelli and I'm sure it won't be our last. We went to the restaurant from Luas stop at Charlemont, which was a very pleasant walk along the banks of the Royal Canal past the port of Porobello. When we came to the restaurant, we were ready for a delicious meal and a glass or two wine. I had the T-bone steak from Tipperary, who, as promised, was great. I think I would rather have roasted parsley potatoes, but it was good anyway. My lady had the Tagliatelle in a creamy mushroom sauce and insisted that I try something. It was fantastic! The wine was least expensive on the list, a salentino from southern Italy and drank very well with steak and Tagliatelle. For the desert we enjoyed the affogato for me and the sorbet for them both were a perfect end for a beautiful evening. Not too wild. 122 mice for all who wander from a moonlit back along the canal, where we could admire the swans that settle for the night.

One of the best experiences in Dublin. Very nice place and great food. We couldn't decide what to eat because everything looked delicious. We'll be back soon.

If you have not already been here, book it immediately!!! Fungi Tagliatelle is hands down best pasta I've ever had.

Staff are always friendly and food is great. Proper Italian restaurant!
