Insomnia - Dublin Road, Ratoath

Reminded me of a Whole Foods market in the US. Everything looks fresh, clean and staff were very helpful. They also sell liquor behind the cash register which is new to me.

It's all about the hot carvery roll. €5.25 gets you a roll with beef, turkey or ham (or turkey AND ham if you ask nicely) and all the salad trimming. This thing is a monster, it's essentially a carvery lunch in a roll minus the Brussels sprouts, but who wants Brussels sprouts anyway? Horrible mutant dwarf cabbages is all they are! A bewildering array of protein bars is the gauntlet you must run to pay for your purchases. Also an Insomnia coffee stand inside. Seating area cold draughty so you won't stay long, but the carvery roll makes it worth it.

This has a great selection for city centre grocery store. Very clean. Staff are friendly, it's in the centre. Worth a call in.

I liked this place, it had some great products. It was clean and the food options were grand. What I did not like was the fact that I could not use my Credit card. They could only use the ones with the chip in them. USA has not caught up with the trend of the ship like Canada and most of Europe has now done. I went here a few times. Good prices and some really nice fresh foods. One day I got meat pies to go, they were cooked and delish! It is a good place to visit , the staff was great!
