Can't wait for one bistro to open soon we miss it so much
What a great night staff so helpful no rushing you out the door but I'm sure they wanted to go home to bed
Had not been here since new management. Had brunch. Best quality to price I have had in quite a while! Waiter was really nice also!
It was OK, but nothing too impressive. We ordered Buffalo chicken wings and shrimps as a starter. Shrimps were very nice, but chicken wings just average. They were ok, but portion was was much smaller than in other places plus elsewhere they are tendier... definitely not worth 7eur they are charging for them. For mains we got a steak and duck confit. Ordered a medium steak, but got it raw, not great at all. Staff did not react to the complaint at all, just said OK . Not even sorry! Duck confit was better, but again it was nothing special and I would not like to get back to this restaurant again for it again. Oh and a dessert was a complete disaster. We ordered a brownie and got a chocolate sponge cake, absolute disgrace dry and tasteless, absolutely not worth it 's price (7eur).All in all it was a very average place for dinner and I don 't believe there would ever be customers queueing for table there.
Went for Valentine's- the whole upstairs was booked and we were seated downstairs. There seemed to be only 4 servers on one of the busiest nights of the year which seemed strange for a place with so many tables.I had chicken wings to start and the buffalo sauce was a bit of a vinegary assault on the eyes initially but the blue cheese sauce was really refreshing and the buffalo sauce itself was nice and zesty.Breaded stuffed chicken for the entreé and it was wonderfully light and the cheddar broccoli stuffing was equally light and complimented the chicken very well.Apple crumble for dessert and there were sultanas with the apple which I've never seen before but it was honestly a welcome addition as the apple in apple crumble can be overly tart and there was a very fine balance between the two. The ice cream it was served with was also great. As mentioned before, there were very few servers for the number of tables and thus I do not begrudge them for the relatively slow service but the food was very much worth the wait. This is a fairly weird thing to criticise as well; but the lighting downstairs was pulsing from a comforting and soft atmospheric blue lighting to a standard yellow lighting at 2 minute intervals which was more distracting than anything and I couldn't help but be a tad annoyed by it, but I know that's just my own sensitivities at play there.Service was great; lovely bunch and due to the slow service a table beside us had their corkage charge waived for their wine which was a classy move and something I usually only see in more rural restaurants so overall a great experience and a place I would definitely recommend.
