Although they were unable to seat indoors and were operating with only half their menu (this the four stars), the food we were able to order (club sandwich, Southwest chicken sandwich and fries) were well above average in quality and served with apologetic smiles. I would love to eat here again when this second wave of the pandemic is over. I've eaten at many hotel restaurants over the past 40 years and for price and quality, this one is near the top of my list. I hope they keep up the good work and wish them well.
Good service in the buffet, very attentive staff. Room service was fast and the pot roast tasted just like mom used to make. Only con is the price, but not bad for a hotel restaurant.
**Pros:** The service was quick and personable. They have a fully stocked bar. We ordered salads, which were generous in size, loaded with fresh toppings. The grilled chicken was exceptionally tender and flavorful from the marinade. It offers good value, with most entrees priced around $12 before tax and tip, and large glasses of wine for $8. **Cons:** The menu is somewhat limited, featuring only a handful of appetizers, five sandwiches, and five salads. The wine selection is mediocre, offering only two red options.
We recently moved to Avalon, and having this hidden gem nearby has been wonderful. Our family stays at the Holiday Inn, and we enjoy having breakfast together, all within walking distance. The food is consistently fresh and delicious! The staff is always friendly and greets us with smiles. In the evenings, the bar is lively, making it a great place to grab a drink and relax. Be sure not to miss this spot! Their burgers and eggs are outstanding. Plus, ordering to-go is quick and convenient.
