I have to be honest. This place used to be good for four years. However, the chefs change frequently and the food varies each time we visit. It has now become excessively expensive, with our bill averaging around $80. I recently discovered that I paid full price for snacks and appetizers. If your bill totals more than $50, it is wise to go to a genuine Indian restaurant where you will receive good food, service, and better value. It is preferable to spend your money there rather than here. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
This is a decent place for a quick snack. The atmosphere is lacking and the restaurant is small. We tried the Samosa Chaat and Dosa, which were decent. Unfortunately, they were out of Dhokla, Veg Burger, and Koothu Paratha. It was a weekend night. They have a wide selection of candies and snacks. The sweets we tried - Kala Jamun, Wheat Burfi, Gum, and Badushah - were fresh. This place seems more like a sweet and snack shop rather than a restaurant.
We ordered Paneer Dosa and Mysore masala dosa. Paneer dosa was the winner. Fresh filling and great tasting coconut cahutney. The tomato chutney needs some more kick/flavoring. But again her food is so close to authentic Indian cuisine, a certain place to go back. The place is clean, well lit along with good food. Oh and the Chai, try that too.
It was my first visit, was nearby and looked for an indian restaurant because we were hungry. We ordered vada pav, pani puri, mix veg pakoda, bhel, masala dosa and black forest cake. Except for vada pav.. food was good and for a change not sweet (which i hate the most in Indian restaurants). I will definitely go there again to try other dosas and some indo chinese.
