I wouldn't make it to pay those prizes if it was a full service restaurant, they need to give up their order and get up to get coffee every time they want more. I tried an oatmeal raisin nut cookie, which was really good and therefore I gave them 3 stars and not 2. through which wat the presentation on the boards are very beautiful. but looks better than what it looks, they don't let the pictures fool.
I would never come back to this brunch if I wanted to ruin my life. I decided to try it based on the reviews, but I feel like I wasted $50 on watered-down lattes. The staff seemed disinterested, especially the young person taking our orders. The waffles were soggy and the eggs benedict were nothing special. The service was terrible and only one woman was able to address our issues. Overall, I give them an F for effort because there was none.
Worth the hype! Ube pancakes were delicious and there was plenty of syrup for all 4 pieces. The sauce was coconutty, creamy and full of ube flavor. My husband got the churro waffles and they were gone in a mere two minutes. 4/5 stars cuz I almost had a heart attack when i saw the prices here. The ube pancakes were $20 which comes out to about $5 per pancake! Wish items were more reasonably priced.
Let me bottom line it for you, Denica's Real Food Kitchen is REAL good. Bodacious baked goods, pancakes, and egg things boo yah! Counter ordering, and while you're in line, you can stare and drool at the baked goods while you study the menu and choose your breakfast. Nice! Real nice! The Cinnamon roll, for example, is HUGE and looks AMAZING, I had to order one to take home $6.50, 4.0 stars]. I also ordered the Big Kahuna Sando, served on a brioche roll, pepper jack, kalua pork, one egg, wailuku sauce $18, 4.0 stars] presented beautifully but too much gravy to pick up. Still, I liked everything including the last 10 bites of the gf's pancakes. Piggy piggy! LIKE: the food, the vibe. DISLIKE: no servers, counter ordering. Didn't know, but Denica's has 2 other locations: Livermore, and Castro Valley. I'll be hitting those up sometime, too.
I recently went to this restaurant for brunch with a friend, and it was my first time there. I was initially worried about the long wait time due to the line, but to my surprise, the service was quick. We ordered the Ube Love Pancakes, their special dish, and Eggs Benedict, and we absolutely loved both dishes. The service was prompt, and the staff were very friendly. I will definitely be returning and recommending this place to others.
