Koiya Japanese Express - Dublin

The food and service at this restaurant are excellent. I only had one experience where the meat was tough, but when I called and let them know, they promptly offered to refund my money.

Koiya is a Japanese restaurant in Dublin that has a lovely atmosphere. The food, however, is just average. The sushi menu is small and basic, with some dishes being decent while others are not to my liking. The other items on the menu, like chicken, steak, shrimp, and fried rice, are okay but lack flavor. The prices are high compared to the competition, making it hard to justify coming back. I may visit occasionally due to its proximity to my work, but overall, it's just okay. I can see why I haven't been a regular customer. It's not outstanding, but it's not terrible either. I would give it a 3-star rating.

I was the only person ordering food. Asked for no hot sauce on the crab sushi. They put hot sauce on it. Asked for yum yum sauce. Didn’t bother to give it to me. Didn’t give me any sauce for the dumplings. I tried to eat the noodles with their cheap plastic forks but it kept bending. Cost me $25 for horrible service and food .Maybe the other locations are better than this one but I doubt I will try to eat here again.
