The Tannery On The Green - Dubois

I visited this restaurant three times last year and could not have been more satisfied. My son and I both had the New Yorker strip steak twice, and the last time I tried the tuna with sesame seeds and soy sauce. Each meal came with sides like baked potatoes, sweet French fries, onion rings, and a house salad, all with generous portions. The servers were friendly, professional, and attentive during each visit. The interior and restrooms were very clean, and there was ample parking. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning.

The Friday night fish dinner at $13.00 was fantastic. The waitresses with high dark hair were excellent, and the cook really knows how to prepare a delicious meal. Well made and absolutely delicious.

We visited this restaurant on Saturday night. The service was friendly and efficient. I ordered the Saturday evening special which was snow crab legs served with coleslaw and homemade chips. They even provided a candle warmer for the drawn butter, which was a nice touch. Usually, by the time I finish eating, my butter has cooled down and solidified, so this was a welcome addition. Everything was delicious. My partner had the beef tenderloin tips with zucchini fries and green beans. He mentioned that the meat was tender and flavorful, and he enjoyed the sides as well. Overall, we had a great dining experience.

Until they wanted to ignore us. they saw us at a table without settings/utensils. we ordered drinks that came as expected. later ordered appetizers and meals. then waited and waited and waited. about an hour later come mealtimes and appetizers at the same time, at which point we remembered the waiting person we needed something to eat. the appetizers were hardly warm, but from starving we ate them. at this point the main courses were cold. but I ate a part of my cold meal because I was very hungry. the baked potato and the brokkoli do not even melt butter. After we were ignored for a time, we finally had to tell the waiting person about the meal. it seemed she expected to do the things and just said I'm sorry and will take off my wife's meal. it seems that these people were busy with other clients, while certain tables were neglected. this is a place where one would never expect to be treated on this wise. a advice word to the comfort suites of dubois, pa. distance yourself with this restaurant before it acts on its lower line.

The baked potato and the broccoli wouldn't even melt butter. After being ignored for a period of time, we finally got to tell the wait person about the meal. It appeared she was expecting the news and simply said I'm sorry and will deduct my wife's meal. It appears these folks were more busy with other clientele while neglecting certain tables. NOT IMPRESSED. This is a place one would never expect to be treated in this manner. A word of advice to the Comfort Suites of Dubois, PA.... disassociate yourself with this restaurant before it affects your bottom line.
