Taverna Sarbului - Dudasu

Lunch on sep. The good : Restaurant is right on the Danube. Great view. Food came fast. Was hot and decent. Nothing to complain about it. I had fish and chips, see picture. The bad: The place was busy from parking to the...terrace. The guy that greeted me told me there were no tables on the terrace and seated me inside. I looked through the window below to the trace. He was wrong or laisy to check, there were tables. Waited minutes for the girls to pass by and get the bill. Asked guys to go look for her. Nothing. There were some boys cleaning tables, none of them spoke any English or Romanian. How do you hire personnel that cannot communicate with clients? By the time I was walking out it was minutes of waiting for check out. There might be more good and bad things but thi is all I can tell. Cheers!

The location is huge with lots of tables. The restaurant looks more like a canteen. The menu is very diverse and the prices are ok. What I ordered was good but not excellent. The service is very good but that's because there are too few...waiters for a very large number of customers. If the location is over occupied, everything looks like chaos and a very big noise is created.

This is a chain restaurant, so people expect the same type of experience in terms of service and dishes in all locations, unfortunately this was not the case. We were seated on the terrace on a very hot day, and after ordering we realized that...it was too hot to eat comfortably at that table. Although more than half of the restaurant was empty, our waiter initially said it was impossible for us to move. We insisted and were finally seated in an air conditioned area. The food was tasty, but overall aspect of the dishes was below the normal standard of the chain. The waiter did not come back for the entire duration of the meal, neither to clear the table nor ask if we wanted to order anything else. We asked one of the other waiters for another bottle of water and our request was met with surprise, it appears that she was bothered to have to bring stuff to our table. We finally asked someone else for the bill, paid in cash and waited min for the change, which never came. The change would have been which, in my opinion, is a lot more of a tip than our waiter deserved. Too bad that such a great location and well known restaurant chain hires people that still live in the when it comes to standards.

It's ok, nice location, service without panache, good food but not bad for 5*, bearable prices but not cheap. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
