Contribuisci feedbackI have been dining at this restaurant for a few years and the food has always been delicious. However, last week I ordered a meal that cost £32 and it was completely inedible. When I contacted the restaurant, they explained that they had a new chef. I informed them that the food was inedible due to excessive salt, to the point where it burnt our tongues. They apologized, but did not offer a replacement meal or a refund. Additionally, the manager refused to speak to us on the phone. I retained the food and reported the incident to the food standards agency. My partner and daughter had to drink several pints of water to get rid of the terrible taste.
I had been tired of ordering Chinese takeout, so I decided to give this place a try. I'm really glad I did! In my opinion, it's the best in Quarry Bank.
The food was mediocre at best, lacking in flavor and overall quite bland. Considering the quality, it was overpriced. The prawns were particularly dry and difficult to eat. I cannot recommend this restaurant.
The dining experience at the restaurant was quite disappointing. The curry arrived cold and watery, despite our order for the special curry without beef and with only one prawn. Additionally, the egg fried rice was packed tightly into a small container. The mixed hors d'oeuvres were not appealing at all, featuring overcooked prawn toast, spring rolls, spare ribs, and undercooked chicken. In the end, the £15.50 meal was thrown in the bin. We waited over an hour for delivery, only to find out that they had difficulty locating our address in Quarry Bank. They eventually called to ask for our correct address, but by that point the food was already cold, even though we live just five minutes away. We've used Happy Town before, but we're uncertain if we'll order from them again.
