Just arrived here as I booked weeks ago for my moms birthday via Groupon. The woman at the counter laughed in my face as I arrived and said I wouldn’t be receiving any afternoon teas today as she had bought the business two weeks ago and was not honouring any bookings and then threw me out!!!! What on Earth!!! What a disgrace of a woman!!!
Went here for a birthday meal and was so disapointed. The sandwiches were made with very very thick bread, the scones were the type you would buy a whole pack for £1 in a supermarket, but the cake was nice. The girl was dressed in the most inappropriate clothing you could imagine for a tea shop ever! more flesh than clothing! Only us in there so can see why!!!
I purchased a Groupon voucher for afternoon tea for four people as a thank you to my 70-year-old mother-in-law for watching my young sons while I was at work. I called to make a reservation for August and gave the voucher code over the phone. Unfortunately, due to a power outage, the restaurant was closed when my family arrived. I checked the Groupon app and saw that the voucher was valid until the end of November. I called the restaurant again and rescheduled for today. However, when we arrived, the owner claimed the voucher had been redeemed in July and turned my family away. After a heated argument, he admitted that he had my mother-in-law's name in the book but blamed her for the mix-up. The afternoon tea provided was disappointing, and I will not be returning to Mom n Co's. Instead, I recommend Cafe 105 and Suranthas for a better experience.
We've been here when it was originally opened and since it moved. Food always been ok. Nothing special but it was child friendly. Ser ice seems to have steadily gone down hill. We purchased vouchers for adult afternoon tea with free kids afternoon tea. Tried to book to use the voucher and got no where. Tried the online booking on Facebook. No reply or confirmation despite them seeing our messages, so went into the shop on the say, with 3 excited children.....closed? Despite advertising on Facebook all morning that they were open with photos of the cakes they had in today..... rang a few times on a few days to rebook....never an answer. After the voucher ran out we got through on the phone and were told no refunds,no free kids tea,all we could do was book for our tea(which has cost £10 each ONLY £4.50PP ON GROUPON) Went into store to arrange this but when asked for a receipt so we knew we had a booking(after reading the other reviews, proof was requested) my friend was shouted at and asked why we don't trust him....it's no wonder he's closing down with such awful customer service and disgracefully attitude! There are much nicer places to eat in stourbridge who's owners understand how to run a successful business and keep their customers coming back
