Berens Am Kai - Düsseldorf

Untiring,unique operation,less possibilities to move the menu

We were looking forward to a pleasant evening. we were of the view that we would get a freestanding table (prospect). we sat more or less in a bistrôt! relatiw tight and this in a star restaurant. the wine card is good, with the prices too high. the menu was clear and in order. the waiting periods between the courses was very viscous if not too long. eating was good but in no case worth the price. we have traveled from Switzerland and have introduced ourselves more.

Each band could surprise again. the kitchen is kreatiw!

After I live in düsseldorf since 2006, I had on 05.08. for the first time enjoying having dinner at the kai. after some visit in top restaurants the expectations were correspondingly high. to make it short: b. am kai is a local with great ambiente and reduced modern architecture. I like it. on a lukewarm summer evening, berens am kai is surely one of the most atmospheric local in düsseldorf. the wine card is opulent but expensive. the dishes are all prepared at a high level. the end lacks the last raffiness in the preparation. the service is attentive but something emotionless. under the dash there are in the surroundings of 40 km restaurants with better price/performance ratio

Eating is really great and at a price that's okay. the wine tasting to the menu has a good value for money. the service might be more friendly, at a restaurant of this class you are actually used to another service.
