We visited the Madrid a few times including breakfast, snacks and just drinks. On most occasions the service was very good but at times we seemed invisible or had picked a table between waitresses! The breakfast we had was very good, my wife particularly enjoyed the tomatoes on toast a Spanish speciality. The portions we had and saw were generous especially the Boquerón's, drinks were reasonably priced and the selection good. Inside definitely resembled a Spanish city bar and I enjoyed the ambiance. Having lived, worked and holidayed in Spain I felt the Madrid was a good representation.

A couple of tapas, a beautiful Spanish white wine ice-cooled or just 'only cup coffee on the terrace, the caffe madrid is always good for a break. I love it no matter what time of day.
