I can't put the date of our visit, December 2017.
The hotel mercure duisburg is attached to a strange shopping center/gym complex. in the facility is a small Italian caffe with 4 small tables and a few outside. the hotel restaurant was closed for christmas, and she thought that this cozy little place was. perfect he had his doubt. he was wrong. we both had pasta, they, a beautiful plate of fresh tagliatelle with asparagus tips, tomato and small garnels. he had a bolognese sauce on his. both were well prepared, delicious and the price/value was exceptional. the good: obviously proud was taken in preparation. the bad: tiny tables? 4 tight friends fit. the strange: as they may suspect, who would search for nice Italian food in a shopping center 500m from the duisburg train station?
