Zur Laterne - Duisburg

Second time now eating at this place. The food is great with different type of schnitzels and other menus. The staff is a bit unfriendly, maybe they don’t like foreign people. No english menus and staff doesn’t speak english very well.

This is centrally located (opposite shopping mall) traditional German restaurant. The white wine is great, gammon (hexe) very generous, schnitzel moist. Service very prompt, ambience lovely. Prices reasonable.

When we arrived in Duisburg we were looking for a nice place to eat and found this place, after scrolling through some restaurant pages. We weren't disappointed. The food was amazing and the service really really fast. The atmosphere is great and the service is great. A nice place to eat some German traditional dishes. They also have a cute dog.

A coincidence led us to the lantern last Saturday. A cozy house to enjoy the German cuisine. The restaurant owner and chef tried us personally and came spontaneously into our cozy round. Pure Hospitality Great hospitality, delicious menu selection and a friendly staff, here we will be happy to stay and again what you want more....
