A & Dubs - Duluth

The only thing that's changed about this place in the last thirty-or-so years is the white paint on the prices to bump them up.

I've become a fan of the drive-in/carhop burger places so when we discovered A & Dubs existed, I knew we had to stop there before taking in a local baseball

It was just OK. Like everywhere else right now it's overpriced, burgers aren't anything special or hearty, and I got maybe like 5 onion rings. Service was very nice on this particular day. Will stick with the original A&W for this type in the future.

Went there once when I was younger and remembered loving it. Went back today to see if it was still good. Lady who took my order asked if it was to go and before I could answer just said yeah it 's to go . Then I tried to pay but she walked away before I could pay. So 20 minutes later my burger comes out and I handle my card. She says they don 't take card, which I don 't mind but I didn 't have cash on me and I would have known that if she would have taken my money to begin with. So I drive down the street, pull out $20 and I come back to pay. Lady takes my money and acts dismissive as she was before. And then the coup de gras of the whole thing, my burger is wrong! I got the char deluxe which the menu says is cheese bacon lettuce and tomato. My burger have pickles and mayonnaise on it which I really hate. Other items on the menu will say that they have mayo and pickle, so either they messed up and accidentally put it on my burger or their menu isn 't clear as to what 's on the food. At that point I just threw my burger right on the sidewalk in front of the business so everybody even know that they 're selling burgers that aren 't even worth the bite. Disappointed.
