Linnethia Lounge - Duluth

The reservation from here has not been honoured. When we came to the restaurant, we were told that we had to pay $450 to enter. the hostess did not apologize for the screw up and then recommended that they should not be able to accept us. they also advised that there is no possibility to cancel the reservation so that I was not even able to make a reservation for another restaurant. my birthday was ruined by this experience. I'll never be here again!

We did not come to dinate because we were informed at night that the restaurant had changed its plans and was charged $50 to get and $500 for a table. Nowhere was this advertised when I stopped, nor did I notice the changes.

I came to check Linnethia's out for myself. I found that the previous reviews did not align with my experiences here. I made a reservation, and I came on Thursday night. Only a few people spread over the lounge during my visit. I was greeted outside the establishment. Very nice lounge. The staff is nice, welcoming, and professional. Linnethia's is clean with comfortable booth seating. The DJ was everything here and did a great job entertaining. The drinks were tasty. I had the French 75 and the Moscow mule. Our waiter allowed my sister to taste-test a few items before ordering. The waitress was awesome. She didn't miss a beat. For my food, I had salmon bites and collards, which were so delicious. The cook/kitchen staff here is amazing, and the collards taste like my Granny collards. Very flavorful! I was thoroughly satisfied with this experience. Deducted one star from what could have been a 5-star because some items on the menu were not an option. Overall great experience besides the missing menu offerings. The bathroom was clean but could use a decor touch. A cabinet was falling apart and needed replacing.

The Lounge is absolutely beautiful. EVERYONE was friendly and accommodating! Few items from the menu were not amazing; however the substitutions I made were still great. The $20 cover is a little off-putting, being there are a few more places in close proximity that do not charge a cover. Nonetheless; it was still a great experience.

When we arrived for our 7 pm reservation, the restaurant wasn’t ready for us. They were breaking down from an earlier event and had to set up for the evening. It was very cold in the restaurant. We sat at the bar while waiting for our table. We were told that it was NeNe’s boyfriends birthday over and over once we were seated. The restaurant would adhere to their strict 2 hour table limit. Though the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. I ordered jumbo shrimp. They weren’t close to jumbo. They were more like medium sized and there were just a handful of them. I feel like the restaurant is too far away and over priced for what we received. I won’t return again.
