Toasty’s Sandwich Shop - Duluth

I am a long-term customer of toasty’s! it is definitiw one of the hidden restaurant furniture of duluth. I have ordered the same sandwich for the last six years and it was always consistent, perfectly joined together, hot, tasty and overall, satisfied. words do not do their justity for this hustle and bustle (also from their old location to their new location.) hands down, one of the best places to grab a sandwich in minnesota.

Nice little place. Kinda hidden, but still easy to get. Very good food, excellent customer service, great prices and a beautiful, relaxed atmosphere. They can definitely say that these guys have a passion for their work. Next time I'm in town, I'll definitely eat again.

Toasty's is an upscale kind of place with something that everyone will love. Two people can eat for $20 and leave entirely satisfied. With sandwiches going from the basic (but yummy! grilled cheese to more sophisticated choices, everyone will get something they enjoy!

I entered Toastys confused, the location is a bit abstract, it seems like it is shoved into the first story and a half of an office building in downtown duluth. I approached the counter and no one was there. I yelled into the kitchen and heard “Just a second I’ve gotta take this bread out of the oven!” Fresh made bread made in house, this place had peaked my interest. Shortly after a burly man came out. He took my order and was quite friendly. We talked for a few minutes, I found out that he was the owner. We talked about his business and where he comes from. What I wanted to find out was, Does the chef have passion? This one had it in spades. We chatted about his philosophy about herbs and fresh ingredients. He source’s almost everything locally. I was very excited to taste the food. When I sat down to try the food, it exceeded my expectations. This restaurant was able to elevate a cold turkey sandwich. I don’t even like cold turkey sandwiches, I saw a soup and sandwich deal and wanted to try two things for the price of 1. The soup was delicious. Seasoned to perfection. I walked out with both of those for under 10$, in fact the whole menu was under 10$. I will for sure return, I am excited to try the more complex items on his menu.

Creative options. I enjoyed my steak sandwich with pineapples (Steak paradise). Price was a little high, portion size was normal. Service was basic, an order and seat yourself; help yourself to water situation. No welcome greetings or thanks for stopping in . Food tasted very fresh, was nearly excelent. I just wasn 't a fan of the texture of the basil or long stringy green substance on the tomato soup but It was still tasty.
