I had fi sh tacos which was okay nothing great but my hubby loved his wagyu steak sandwich. The only thing i hate about this place is that they don't have proper sanitation when in comes to their surroundings especially before entering the resto and bathrooms.
A small restaurant part of the Hayahay building where they have live music most nights. We went for 2 tacos fish and chicken and some monster nachos to share. Despite the Hayahay being busy, this restaurant was really quiet which is a shame as the food was great.
The sushi and food at this restaurant are delicious, but we were concerned to see that the sushi chef was not wearing a hairnet, gloves, or mask, and had long hair. This lack of hygiene prompted some of our family members to refrain from ordering food.
We decided to try Taco Surf based on the positive reviews we read, and we were not disappointed. I typically don't write reviews, but I have to say, if you're in Dumaguete or anywhere on Negros, you should definitely visit this restaurant. The sashimi was as delicious and buttery as the ones we had in Japan, the sushi fusion was unique and enjoyable, the Jap Mex hamburger was full of flavor, and let's not forget about the fish tacos. Oh, those fish tacos. Having lived in San Diego for a couple of years, I can confidently say that these are at the top of my list. The grilled fish was not hidden by an overwhelming fried batter, and there was plenty of it. The avocado was present and not hard to find, which is a rarity in some restaurants. The mild spice gave a taste of Mexico without being too overwhelming. I highly recommend this place.
