The food is spectacular. Tuna cheek, squid, banana heart salad, red snapper and kangkong were awesome Fresh and cooked very well. I wish the buko juice was colder (some places put the coconut in the fridge and open it fresh and cold). But I REALLY wish service didn't suck so bad. I had to literally go to the cashier EACH TIME to order, change something, ask for my bill, or remind them about abovementioned stuff. Management should train staff better or hire more efficient staff because ratings of this place will go downhill with this service.
We dined here on a Saturday night, the treehouse was quite busy so we chose a table indoor. It was good. The waiters served us right away. There were a few items that we had to change as it was not available. Here’s the list of w we ended up ordering 1. Baked Scallops A good choice of appetizer. It was enough for 5 of us. 2. Puso Salad Typical Puso Salad 3. Dumaguete Express We were curious to what this was. I think they can shave the coconut instead of cutting them to give a better texture and maybe make it spicier than it is. 4. Grilled Red Snapper We initially ordered Grilled Blue Marlin but it was not available. This was not worth it as it was served dry. 1 fish cost us ₱900. 5. Tinola Tangigue This was our favorite. I will definitely comeback for this. 6. Gambas a la Lab as Nothing Special on this dish. Just a simple deep fried shrimp in panko crumbs. 7. Fresh Buko Juice Yet another disappointment. The buko was too young so the juice was a bit sour and not sweet. There was no buko meat as well. We still enjoyed our time here and the ambiance was good. Tips for ordering menu items that they sell per grams, always ask for minimum gram per order. Our server told us that the minimum for blue marlin and red snapper was 500g.
Only good is the sea breeze when you dine in the tree house. Was recommended by our tour guide, but I do not recommend and too pricey. Unless you want to be disappointed was shocked with Grilled Tanigue 3/4 lang for 300 and di pa big size. sizzling sisig is not even sizzling so di naputo nang husto ang egg. nothing special bouillabaisse is so so, taste like ginger with bits of seafoods shanghai rice hmm. you can definitely taste the margarine. Serving time matagal…
This is a must if you're in the area. One of the top three hot spots. The portions are very large 3 per person serving. Be hungry and come with a group.
