Big Country Cafe - Dumas

Outstanding place. We stumbled upon this gem while making a drive from Denver to Abilene last year. Food was large and awesome. We are making this a regular stop for us on this trip. Highly recommend.

Had a group of 8, right at 6am. One waitress but she was very friendly and competent. Had us fed and out of there in under an hour. Food was standard country breakfast fare. I wasn't looking to eat too much or anything heavy. Had plenty of options. I had eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and toast. Son had an egg and sausage. Others had omlettes or waffles and everything looked great.

SO DELICIOUS! Everything was so wonderful that we ate here 3 times in a row.. dinner, breakfast the next day then lunch!Really liked the service atmosphere! If we were locals, this would definitely be a Sunday staple.. let's be honest..a regular staple with our household lolGreat portions for the price! Everything tastes great!We highly recommend!!

We got there at noon on a Sunday and the place was packed! There was only one family in front of us waiting to be seated, and we only waited about 8 minutes before we got sat down. Waitress came got our drinks and then we ordered our food. I kid you not, it took them longer to get our drinks then to get our food. We were soooo happy! ? The plates are huge and the 6 oz steak breakfast with 2 eggs, hasbrowns and a pancake for 12.99 I mean it can't get better than that! The atmosphere is very family friendly and the staff was absolutely awesome. Will definitely be coming back!

Driving through and stopped here based on the yelp reviews. Great little diner! My husband had the mess up burrito and was not disappointed! I had the chicken strips (probably should have had the burger, because they looked amazing)! The strips were really good! If you are in Dumas, this is worth the stop. The wait staff was very attentive. We will be back!
