The reviews for this small restaurant are accurate and it is definitely worth a visit. During the off season in town, many other restaurants are closed, but this place is still open with just the chef owner running the show. Be prepared to wait a few minutes before being seated as he may be cooking when you arrive. The menu is small but well done, with a few specials available. When I called to make a reservation, the chef asked about any dietary restrictions and even added a couple of additional vegetarian options for my partner. The tables are well spaced out in the room, allowing for a comfortable dining experience. The prices are reasonable and the quality of the food is on par with or even better than our local 4-star hotel. It's recommended to bring cash for a tip since there is no option to add one on the card machine. Overall, a deserving of service and a great dining experience.

We return for special meals several times a year as the Bistro is our favourite restaurant. Paul is excellent and really friendly. I especially love the lamb canon, which is stunning!

We have been twice now and the food was fresh, high quality and a lovely intimate atmosphere. Lovely place to eat, relaxing environment and the staff are very professional and friendly. Will be returning and would highly recommend!

I really enjoyed dining at this restaurant. The food lived up to the Bistro's stellar reputation, but what truly stood out was the personal touch we experienced. The chef and waitress brought our meal to the table together, and even accommodated our request for one dessert with two spoons. They presented the dessert on one plate, and a second plate beautifully adorned with chocolate sauce and cherries. It was a lovely and thoughtful gesture.

After reading reviews, we decided to make a reservation for our first night of vacation in Scotland, and we were so impressed! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, especially accommodating our children with gluten-free options. The food was absolutely delicious!
