Covid safe place too with lots of gel, masks and even wipe down the bottle of wine. Fish menu is so varied and...the vegetarian menu is of equal size which is quite rare. Great selection of including a few local ones we tried. Service was the perfect length of time which contradicts other reviews. The only note was it was a little chilly but the storm was still on outside. Radiators weren’t hot though so perhaps easy problem to solve.
We visited Connor’s for dinner this weekend and had an excellent experience. Warm welcome on arrival and waiting staff very attentive and friendly. Bottle of wine was nice and our course meal was delicious. We waited around minutes for our starters but were...aware we had arrived at the same time as other tables and were enjoying ourselves at the table. Staff could have let us know apologised for the wait but that was only negative of the evening. Starters of Asian duck salad and toasted ciabatta with tomato and Brie were great. Main courses of salmon and prawn Thai red curry and scallops and black pudding were both exceptional. Great experience and will return when in Portpatrick!
The food and service at Connor's are both of very high quality. The menu is varied and there are plenty of options for everyone meat eaters and vegetarians alike. The service is particularly friendly. Tasty lamb shank with a rich sauce, pasta bake and...crème brûlée were all delicious. Wines and Bladnoch whisky added to the enjoyment!
Staff extremely friendly and welcoming, great menu and meals cooked to a high standard. Nice decor, would recommend and return
We were delighted to visit Connors on a windswept day, just as they had re-opened post-Christmas. We’d been here in the past and our most recent visit was fabulous. The scallops and black pudding was delicious and my husband’s fillet steak was stunning. To finish,...the passion fruit and orange cheesecake was perfect. The service was very warm, attentive and friendly which was appreciated (and is sadly becoming too much of a rarity in many other places we have frequented). In terms of COVID management, everything was fully compliant and of customers wore masks as is currently required in Scotland pity that the family of who came in didn’t bother nor care at all which was very annoying. However, we very much enjoyed our meal and really look forward to returning.
