Sea Horse - Dumfries Galloway

The beef curry was the worst I've ever had. However, the spring rolls were the best I've ever tried. The staff was lovely and even offered to carry the takeaway to our car for us.

The restaurant is charming and the staff are fantastic. It could benefit from some modern updates, but it doesn't detract from the delicious food.

Extremely disappointed, £48 and we hardly ate a drop, beef satay, the sauce was watered down version of sweet and sour sauce, the sweet and sour sauce was so vinegary it wasn’t edible and the munchy box was not what was described. definitely wouldn’t recommend or ever try again!!!!!

Picked up a takeaway this evening. Served by David Ho and cooked by son Colin this was a triumph of a meal at home. The chicken and asparagus in a Chiew Yien sauce has been my favourite for years. Tonight was no exception. All round the table with very different main courses there was a general agreement that this was a superb meal. Many thanks Colin, David and your team of helpers.

There is nowhere else on this planet where I can simply phone in my order, say my name, and have my all-time favorite fried fish with salad delivered to my door within 15 minutes. You wouldn't find that level of customer service in New York, Glasgow, or Kumassi. This family-run business deserves all the praise and prosperity in Dalbeattie.
