The Cottage Tea Room

Today we went to this restaurant for breakfast. We were served by a very friendly and laid-back lady who brought us two huge breakfasts filled with delicious, well-cooked ingredients. We highly recommend this place.

While visiting friends in Dumfries, we stumbled upon this lovely cafe. It wasn't too crowded when we arrived. The staff was friendly and the service was great. We enjoyed our meal, especially the haggis and haggis panini. We would definitely visit again if we were in the area.

Update: September 2020. I was wondering if the tea room would reopen after the lockdown. I'm happy to see that it has, and the scones are just as delicious as I remember. This place holds a special spot in my heart. Update: December 2020. This is my favorite place for lunch, tea, and cake. The baked potato with vegetarian haggis is currently my go-to, even though I'm not vegetarian. The haggis has the perfect amount of heat, and the scones are always a hit. Update: May 2021. I'm so obsessed with the scones that I feel like I need the recipe. The food is amazing, but it's also about the beautiful environment, the lovely tea room, and the friendly staff. It's a complete experience that I enjoy. I want to support the local business, especially during these challenging times. Thank you for staying open and cooking for us.

This place is fantastic. I went before Covid and haven't been able to go since. I was in Scotland today and it is still just as beautiful. The staff is so friendly and the food is great. I definitely recommend it.

Friendly staff and really good eating. the falafel had special daily and completely forgotten how much I loved falafel. after a first visit, I'm back in the definitiw!
