Toast - Dunedin

The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was excellent! During our stay in Dunedin, this was one of the best dining experiences we had. I really appreciated the atmosphere and the decor as well. Both the food and the coffee were delicious! I highly recommend giving this place a try.

Delicious!!! I visited for a late breakfast/early lunch, and the food was fantastic...and generous in portion. The Hound Dog dish is simply amazing. It features massive slices of banana bread French toast, topped with jam, bacon, and cream. There’s even a hearty spread of peanut butter on the plate. The combination of sweet, salty, and crunchy (they sprinkled peanuts on top) is incredible. The coffee was also quite tasty. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. I would definitely come back!

The atmosphere is lovely, and the flat white is delicious. It's a great spot to relax and unwind in Dunedin.

Awesome cafe: the best coffee in Dunedin. Truly unique interior unlike any other cafe I've seen before. (The train track around the ceiling is a nice touch). Great bar and whiskey selection too, and one of the few places that serves real absinthe. Tasty gourmet snacks as well.

Noooo! They've really dropped the ball recently. The coffee has been rubbish the last couple of weeks. Their one redeeming feature was the vanilla and chocolate cheesecake, seriously, the rest of their food is always fairly lacklustre. But alas, it has just undergone a massive price hike from $6 to $8.90! So now it costs nearly 50% more than it was a couple of weeks ago. I used to really look forward to a slice of cheesecake when I visited; but maybe I should be grateful that their obscene pricing is keeping me on my diet.
