I highly recommend trying the mushroom flatbread, it is a must-try dish. We have dined both indoors and on the terrace at sunset, enjoying quiet evenings as well as lively celebrations with music on the terrace. On our most recent visit, we were seated at the kitchen table where we could watch the chefs at work. Chef Steve was very attentive to food allergies and took the time to chat with my daughter, who is studying at a cooking school. She was impressed by the teamwork and camaraderie in the kitchen. The prices are on the higher side, but the quality of the food and service make it worth it. We shared an appetizer, each had a 16-ounce ribeye chosen by the chef, and took an extra entree home for my mother. With a cocktail, our total bill came to around $240 before tip. I am still satisfied and happy hours later. Thank you to the incredible crew at this restaurant, I highly recommend it to everyone, not just tourists.
Enjoy dinner on the veranda. beautiful weather, music and sunset. excellent food and service.
Our friends recommended this restaurant to us and it lived up to our expectations. We started with the tasty pork belly fried green tomatoes. For our main course, we both had steak - my wife had the coffee-rubbed flank steak and I had the strip steak. Both were disappointingly under-seasoned, but after adding salt, they were much improved. We dined in the main dining room, but we later discovered there was a rooftop bar with a view of the Intercoastal that we wish we had known about. The service was average and the decor was less than exciting. Overall, we had a nice date night but wouldn't go out of our way to dine here again. In Dunedin, there are plenty of other wonderful dining options to explore first.
Everything here was extraordinary. we shared a Caesar salad, had NY-Steak and filet, brussel spears and mushrooms. everything perfectly cooked and seasoned. dessert was a seemingly bottomless dish of brownies and 3 aromen of high quality ice. the prices were reasonable and less than restaurants we visited in jacksonville beach and savannah, which were very good, but the hew eating was better.
Shockingly, not great. Beautiful locale, yes. Mediocre food (at least on the set menu for New Years Eve dinner), especially for the prices. Desserts were literally just bad. Super cheap tasting (hard to explain... apricot cake was dry, chocolate torte thing was just cheap chocolate pudding put into a tiny overly sweet pie shell with overly sweet caramel and canned whipped cream. Something a 5 year old might enjoy). My 14 year old son enjoyed his steak well enough (it was $95. The other dinners (ranged $65-$125) were seriously nothing to write home about. They were okay What made the entire experience rather negative was the amazingly bad, bad service. That's what shocked me the most. I can overlook mediocre food and bad desserts, but to pay fairly high prices for all of that and receive terrible table service, too, just was super disappointing. And there really, truly was no excuse. I won't go into the details (other than the room wasn't overly crowded and our server passed our table 20 times without picking up a dirty plate, checking our waters, offering drinks (ever), etc. Maybe he knew the tip was included in the bill (8 of us) and so didn't feel he had to work for it. But in the end it was rude. And we are sweet, not-at-all-demanding or complaining diners. I rarely write bad reviews, but this one time warrants it. (Oh, and he never mentioned that tip was included, so we all left tips on top of that. After realizing, I called to have those taken off. He didn't deserve another $100+, that's for certain). Disappointing.
