We were presented with the fixed-price Christmas menus, priced at £27 for two courses, which we found to be quite expensive with limited options. There was also a £7 supplement for the sirloin. After ordering a children's meal and drinks, we had to wait 30 minutes for our food. Despite chasing multiple staff members, our order did not arrive. The service was poor, with no clear leadership and staff members who appeared disinterested. We were not treated with respect or given any apologies for the delay. Overall, we were unimpressed and will not be returning. Avoid this restaurant unless you are prepared to wait a long time for your meal.
Absolutely terrible, will never be back. Sat for 1hr and got no service or reasoning to why we had to wait so long, others that ordered later than us had got their food a long time before ours. I asked a waitress where our food was and explained the circumstances, she replied very ignorantly and said she would check. She came back 10 minutes later and said it’s coming now, in which we got our food, my burger was STONE COLD and the burger meat was black, it was burnt and dry, not tasteful in the slightest, i wouldn’t feed my dog that burger, the other person i was with had received the wrong order, she asked for plain chicken goujons, she got a goujon wrap. In which she has certain allergy’s which she cannot eat the wrap and the contents. We were ignored the entire time that we were seated and we’re not offered any compensation to our long wait and terrible service. In fact, we didn’t even get an apology or any recognition. We got a lot of attitude from the service staff. We also got charged the entire full bill, even though we had raised our concerns with staff members of the poor service and poor food quality. I am very VERY not pleased that my money had to go towards a very bad establishment. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. DO NOT DESERVE THE MONEY!!
Recently, this restaurant has not been great. We decided to give it a fair chance and visited three times. Unfortunately, the third time was not a charm, which is why I am writing this review. On two occasions, I asked for a simple change to my breakfast order - no tomato, extra mushroom. However, both times they brought out the wrong order. On the third visit, the food was finally correct but it was served cold. I don't want to spend my money on cold food, and when we raised the issue with the staff, they were rude. We made it clear that we were not happy with the food or service. Despite this, they still charged us the full amount at the till without offering any compensation for our unpleasant experience. If you're looking for a good breakfast, I suggest avoiding this place.
I had dinner at The Deli On The Green on Saturday, September 2nd. The food was decent, but my experience with customer service left a bad taste in my mouth. When I went to pay, I asked if I could also pay for my friend's table. The waitress agreed and merged the bills. However, I later realized that I had actually paid for another table's meal, not my friend's. Despite reaching out to the restaurant, I received little help or resolution. The manageress acknowledged the mistake but claimed there was nothing she could do. I was left feeling frustrated and disappointed with how the situation was handled. It seems that The Deli On The Green should take some responsibility for errors made by their staff.
Absolute terrible service. Went for coffee and desert. Stood for ages waiting to be seating and then shown to a side table in the shop area that was closed. Waited 20 mins until a gentleman came in and ordered 2 coffees to go, he was served straight away. We got up and left and no one even batted an eyelid as we left. Won't be back, EVER
