When I explained the girls couldn't have been more helpful. They asked where we would like to sit in advance and reserved a booth for us. The lady put me at ease straight away. That evening when we arrived the kids where given their menus and their colouring Ins and told if they wanna colour in they could pick a lolly after their dinner. She also said if there was anything the children would like off the adult menu they would give me a half portion size. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was gorgeous and iv eaten in many many places lol kids were happy and the price was very reasonable for an evening meal. Second time we went at lunchtime and the same waitress recognised us. My 2 girls decided they wanted to order 2 meals and share and the waitress brought them spare plates to divide their food which we didn't even ask for and gave them little food picks in the shape of swords for them to share their nuggets etc my daughter couldn't decide between gravy and pepper sauce and the lady brought both for her to try. Unbelievable customer service, possibly the best I've ever encountered. My son wanted a hot dog and chips and she even asked him if he wanted them on the same plate incase he had an issue off his food touching. To an NT family this wouldn't mean a lot but to an ASD family it meant the world. Iv never been somewhere and felt that not only was their special needs accepted but they were actually catered for. All down to a few ladies showing a little kindness and taking the time to allow them to say what they would really like resulting in 3 very happy little people and 2 even happier adults. We all left with lolly pops....result I will return here again and again, the Food is exceptional value at lunch and omg the pulled pork.....give it a try you won't be dissapointed The food speaks for itself....
We’ve been coming here for years, the food is consistently good and the staff are attentive and friendly. My 20yr old has autism loves to come here with his girlfriend, the manager Sharon makes sure they are happy relaxed; they are treated with respect as adults, we’ve not found this in any other restaurant so this means a lot to us. Heartfelt thanks for all your kindness for truly making a difference!
The food was delicious, but the only downside was that I expected to receive four onion rings in my megabox, but I only got three.
After indulging in the usual holiday feasts, I was craving a tasty burger but not from McDonald's or Burger King. I decided to try out Yankee Star Coalisland instead. This cozy American grill house is family-run and offers a great variety of diner food. The burgers were delicious, piled high with fries on the side. They offer plenty of combo options or the ability to design your own. They also have a kids menu and everything is reasonably priced for an American diner. In the end, our appetites were definitely satisfied. I highly recommend giving it a try, but make sure to book in advance as it is a popular spot.
I have been to this restaurant a few times in the last few years, but have never received the chicken wings I ordered as a starter. The main course was served cold tonight and when I asked the waiter why, he didn't know and had to check with the kitchen. After a few minutes, our dishes were returned to us on new plates with chips served separately, most likely reheated in the microwave. The steak we ordered was advertised as tender, but it was tough to chew. The bread was soggy from the raw mushrooms. To top it off, I was told at the checkout that they couldn't accept card payment because their machine was broken, forcing me to find an ATM. When I suggested they put up a sign about it, I was told that they had done so before but customers didn't read it. The waitresses should have informed us about this when we placed our orders. Despite these issues, the restaurant was nicely decorated.
