Cara Mia's Delicatessen - Dunmore

I ordered the Mile High Pastrami and the Chicken Caesar Wrap. Unfortunately, there was nothing "mile high" about this disappointing sandwich, which was served on dried-out, somewhat stale bread. The Caesar wrap was filled with wilted, brown lettuce, bland chicken, and watery Caesar dressing. This was my worst experience here so far.

The prices were reasonable, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it came with chips and pickles, which weren't mentioned. The sandwich itself was quite good.

I want to start by saying that I've always had great experiences at this restaurant until today. I ordered a turkey and cheese sandwich, but I received a chicken and cheese sandwich instead. When I tried to reorder, the staff insisted that was what I had ordered. It would have been acceptable if the chicken hadn’t been cold. My mom ordered a sandwich without hot peppers, but they added them anyway, and they completely messed up my sister's order as well, giving her something different from what she requested. The staff was quite rude, and I honestly don’t think I would want to go back.

Family owned and local! I love this place. Always fresh, you can buy sauces by the quart which are homemade. Best and only white pasta fagioli I have ever had… I’m obsessed!!!!!!!

I ordered the Strawberry Chicken salad that was on special. It was so filling, I didn't need to eat for the rest of the day. Perfect summer lunch.
