I really enjoy this place because the food is authentic and not Americanized. I noticed I was the only non-Hispanic person there. I ordered shrimp, chicken, and carnitas tacos. At $3.99 for four small shrimp, I found that a bit expensive, especially since the corn tortillas weren't doubled up. I had to use a fork because they fell apart immediately from the sauces. The shrimp was decent, the chicken was better, but the real standout in terms of flavor was the carnitas. They have a salsa toppings bar, but it's not self-service. You can add lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and cilantro, while other toppings like cheese, sour cream, and salsa come at an extra cost. Each taco comes with a slice of lime, which adds a nice citrus touch. I'm really glad this place is local because it saves me the drive to Raleigh for authentic Latin American/Hispanic food. I also spotted other items on the menu that I’d like to try.
"I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The staff were friendly, and the food was excellent. I ordered takeout for lunch, and the price per person was quite affordable, ranging from $1 to $10. I would rate the food a 4 out of 5, with the same score for the service. The atmosphere was decent but could use some improvement, so I give it a 3. I highly recommend trying the tacos, carnitas, Tacos de Carne Asada, and the burrito."
I began visiting this restaurant a few years ago for their tacos, and I was really impressed by them. Recently, they added Birria tacos to the menu, which made me incredibly excited. However, over time, I've noticed that the portion of consommé served with the plate has gradually decreased, and the flavor doesn't seem as seasoned as it used to be. I used to come here at least once a week, but my last three visits have definitely turned me off for a while. They’ve really lost their touch.
Guacamole Latin Grill serves authentic Hispanic cuisine that is both delicious and affordably priced. I had the Birria tacos filled with fried pork and Al Pastor cheese, topped with cilantro and onions. I also ordered a Chicken Pupusa. Everything was very flavorful.
