Came here for lunch, there was a lunch platter which had 2 vegan options available as well as a soup which is always vegan. Food was fresh and delicious and came out very quickly. Updated from previous review on 2023-07-13
A real hidden gem! Stunning rural pub, cosy with a beautiful view. Dog friendly. Multiple well marked vegan options on the menu with a server/owner who understood vegan food well. Friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended
Would never have expected to have so many vegan options at a rural pub! At least 4 main vegan options and two different vegan desserts. Staff were super helpful with small details like bringing us vegan 'butter ' for our new potatoes. Their wine menu was also clearly labelled with vegan choices and they had an alcohol free wine on the menu, which is so unusual but super helpful addition. Definitely book ahead as they were full when I tried to go back again in the same week.
For lunch, you can enjoy a selection of white or malted baguettes with various fillings. Two vegan options include crowning cherry and vegan cheese with chutney, served with chips or bhaylat (not sure if the soup was vegan). The baguettes are generously sized and very satisfying, offering great value for money at £6.50 each.
