However, we were disappointed to find that there was only one vegan lunch option available (curry paste) and the other vegan option (Chickpea and spinach cake) was not available that day. It was unfortunate that none of the sandwiches could be made vegan, as they looked delicious. We did enjoy the pasty, which was served with a beautiful salad and some chips. The cake option (chocolate) was nice, but the portion size was very large and the presentation of one slice was messy. There were also vegan options like a Biscoff disc and rocky road, but we did not try them. Overall, we were tempted to try a different restaurant with more appealing vegan options after seeing Cobblestones' menu as we passed by.
I loved the food at Tessa Teestube, which also offers many vegan options (V). We tried the cured dough with a delicious salad, as well as their oat milk hot chocolate. The meal was fantastic!
The restaurant offers a lovely atmosphere with outdoor seating and beautiful surroundings. They have a variety of vegan options including curry, hot cakes, and pastries, as well as a selection of vegan cakes. Additionally, they offer oat, soya, and almond milk options. The service was quick and friendly.
An interesting café with many vegan options. Feels like you're in a cross between an antique dealer and a charity business. Many things for sale not only in the café, but in the corridor/tunnel on the side you wait for the toilet, which also here. They were at least six vegan dishes to choose between us we had a keralayan cauliflower and pepper curry, a three beans chili and a spicy chickpea and spinach cake. The curry came with rice and poppadoms, the others with a large mixed salad. They were all excellent. Other options included another curry, a roasted vegetables cake and a lentil soup. Followed by a choice of vegan cakes... orangedrizzle, raspberry and lemon, shortbread or folding jacket. Excellent selection of tea including tea pigs. Four lunches with drinks, followed by four pieces of cake and tea came to about £65, which seems reasonable.
We ordered the creamy cauliflower curry and the bean chilli. Both were wonderful and under a tenner each. No pud or cake on the menu unfortunately although I’m sure if more people ask they will provide it.
